Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Make Ready Technician, where your expertise in facilities maintenance and repair will ensure our residential and commercial properties are always in top condition. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing units for occupancy by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and cosmetic tasks. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help create a welcoming environment for residents and tenants alike. Duties Perform comprehensive make-ready tasks including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and flooring to prepare units for new residents Conduct electrical work such as troubleshooting circuits, repairing electrical equipment, and replacing switches or outlets using schematics and electrical tools like ohmmeters Maintain HVAC systems by inspecting, repairing, and replacing components to ensure optimal climate control within units Repair plumbing systems including leak detection, pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and maintenance of plumbing systems using appropriate hand tools and techniques Utilize welding skills where necessary to repair or modify metal components or fixtures within the property Perform facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and building interior elements Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently Maintain a high level of customer service by communicating effectively with residents regarding work orders and service requests Support building interior maintenance through painting (including residential painting), carpentry, drywall installation, and general repairs Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment Requirements Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters Experience with HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance is essential Ability to perform building interior maintenance tasks including painting (residential or commercial), carpentry, drywall repairs, and flooring installation Knowledge of electrical work including troubleshooting circuits and repairing electrical equipment using schematics and electrical tools Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and residents effectively Leadership qualities that support team collaboration and problem-solving in fast-paced environments Valid experience with plumbing system repair or HVAC system troubleshooting is highly desirable Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately for precise repairs or installations This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to apply their diverse skill set in a fast-moving environment. Pay:
