What You'll Do

Perform DOT maintenance on road tractors and trailers

Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/rigging

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause

Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed

Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed

Services machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment

Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components

Maintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage

Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process

Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations

Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture

What You'll Need

Experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles (number of years up to location preference)

Experience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulics

Welding, cutting and fabrication preferred

Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions

Minimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferred

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
