Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Summary Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, corrective, and general maintenance across multiple customer properties within an assigned geographic territory. The technician will travel between commercial facilities using a company-provided vehicle and tools. This position requires a well-rounded maintenance professional with experience across multiple building trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general building maintenance. The successful candidate will provide quality workmanship, maintain professional relationships with customers, and complete work orders safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative, corrective, and general maintenance in accordance with work orders, company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards. Perform minor plumbing repairs, including: Repairing and unclogging toilets and urinals. Repairing and maintaining valve assemblies. Replacing and maintaining toilets and faucet fixtures. Repairing and maintaining automatic flush sensors. Perform routine carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance. Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, and other building components. Perform drywall repairs, surface preparation, painting, and touch-up work to maintain facilities in like-new condition. Perform minor electrical maintenance within applicable state requirements, including: Repairing or replacing fixtures. Replacing wall switches and outlets. Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets. Perform service inspections and asset inspections as required. Complete assigned work orders using tablets, smartphones, and company business systems. Document work performed and provide detailed service reports and inspection documentation. Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card documentation as required. Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned work. Communicate professionally and consistently with customers and internal support teams. Maintain positive customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service. Provide estimates and recommendations for larger projects and services when appropriate. Complete required safety and compliance training and participate in safety meetings. Perform emergency and preventative maintenance as assigned. Travel locally between customer properties on a daily basis. Perform other duties as assigned. Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Trade school, technical training, or relevant building-trades experience is a plus. 2-5 years of general maintenance experience preferred. Experience with multiple building trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general facility maintenance . Commercial facilities maintenance experience highly preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing. Applicable trade certifications or licenses are a plus. Technical Skills Ability to troubleshoot and perform day-to-day, emergency, preventative, and corrective maintenance. Working knowledge of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment. Ability to read and comprehend safety policies, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and work orders. Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and computerized work-order/document-management systems. Ability to complete work orders accurately and communicate work status through designated business processes. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and company safety procedures. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments and changing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional customer-service skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers, coworkers, and internal support teams. Work Environment Daily local travel between commercial customer properties. Company vehicle and tools provided. Work may include preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and general facility maintenance. Must be able to maintain a safe and professional work environment while working at various customer locations.
Pay:
$28.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
