In this role, you will be responsible for accurately installing, hanging, and securing storm doors on residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, building codes, and customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled team dedicated to quality craftsmanship and exceptional service. Duties Measure door openings precisely to ensure proper fit and alignment of storm doors Install storm doors using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical fasteners, ensuring secure attachment to frames or walls Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to follow installation specifications accurately Conduct door hanging, frame carpentry, and trim work to enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality Perform glass installation and sealing with caulking to ensure weatherproofing and insulation Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations during all phases of installation Conduct mechanical repairs or adjustments on storm doors or related hardware for optimal operation Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting doors or materials on-site Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on door installation or related carpentry work Strong mechanical knowledge including working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics Experience in glass installation, metal framing, drywall finishing, caulking, and trim carpentry preferred Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for precise installations Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about project progress and address concerns professionally Knowledge of building code compliance standards relevant to door installation and remodeling projects Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions Join us as a Sub-Contractor Storm Door Installer where your craftsmanship makes a real difference!
