3005980210-2 Apply for this job now Job Description The Sheridan Group, a leader in strategic consulting based in Washington D.C., is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team within the Print Media department. This position involves ensuring the operational efficiency of printing equipment and facilities. The technician will be crucial in maintaining and repairing various types of press and finishing equipment, thereby ensuring minimal downtime and supporting the productivity of our publications. Responsibilities Perform regular preventive maintenance on printers, inkjet machines, and other print production equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in printing and finishing equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Document maintenance and repair activities and maintain an inventory of supplies. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to optimize maintenance procedures. Respond to emergency breakdowns during production hours. Required Skills Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance purposes. Solid understanding of printing technology and related equipment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
