Job Description
US Foods is seeking a General Building Maintenance Mechanic to keep our high-volume foodservice distribution facility operating safely and reliably. In this on-site role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and material-handling equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, complete work orders, and support projects and upgrades while adhering to OSHA and food-safety standards. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair warehouse material-handling and refrigeration equipment to minimize downtime. Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and parts usage accurately in a CMMS or maintenance system. Support facility safety programs by maintaining equipment guards, fire protection, and emergency systems. Coordinate with operations to schedule repairs and maintenance with minimal disruption to production and distribution. Assist with building projects, installations, and upgrades for facility infrastructure and equipment. Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies; request or reorder as needed. Follow all OSHA, food-safety, and company safety policies; participate in safety inspections and training.
