Lutheran Social Services of
WI & UP MI
seeks a Full Time Maintenance Technician to support safe, welcoming facilities for clients and staff. In this role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, and respond to work orders across our healthcare and social service programs. You'll inspect buildings, address repairs promptly, and uphold safety and regulatory standards. Working in a faith-inspired, inclusive, trauma-informed culture, you'll collaborate with caring teams while helping ensure our spaces remain safe, functional, and dignified for those we serve. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds at LSS facilities Respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues, and complete timely repairs to ensure safe, comfortable environments for clients and staff Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks within scope; escalate complex issues to licensed professionals Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards in a healthcare and social services setting Assist with room setups, moves, and general facility upkeep, including painting, minor repairs, and exterior care Collaborate with program staff to minimize disruption to services and maintain trauma-informed, client-centered spaces Participate in on-call rotation or occasional after-hours emergencies as needed Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and adhere to LSS values and policies Required Skills Building maintenance Basic electrical repair Basic plumbing repair HVAC troubleshooting Carpentry and drywall repair Preventive maintenance Safety and OSHA compliance Reading blueprints and manuals Use of hand and power tools Work order and CMMS management
