This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a variety of hand and power tools, and deliver exceptional customer service. As a key member of our field service team, you'll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure with precision and professionalism. Your expertise will help ensure reliable connectivity for our valued customers, making a real difference in their digital lives. Duties Install and configure residential and commercial telecommunications equipment, including satellite dishes, modems, routers, and cable wiring. Perform cable routing and termination using wire crimpers, wire strippers, and other hand tools to ensure secure connections. Conduct fiber splicing and telecommunications network cable installation to establish robust service lines. Test equipment functionality using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to verify proper operation. Use ladders and power tools safely to access outdoor installation sites while adhering to safety protocols. Troubleshoot network issues related to Ethernet, low voltage wiring, telephony systems, and electrical components. Operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed and materials used. Qualifications Proven experience in network installation, fiber splicing, or telecommunications infrastructure work. Knowledge of Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, and computer networking principles. Hands-on experience as a service technician or in residential telecommunications installation. Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge with electrical experience including low voltage wiring and electrical testing. Outdoor work experience with the ability to handle physical tasks such as ladder use and equipment testing in various weather conditions. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during installations or troubleshooting sessions.
