Job Description
at Waste Connections in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description PSI Environmental Systems , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Twin Falls, ID! Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply. At least 1 year of experience doing maintenance on diesel trucks is preferred.
Scheduled Work Week:
Monday
•Friday.
Mon-Thurs:
Swing Shift 2:00pm
•Until work is finished. (Generally 12hrs .)
Friday:
Early Start Day ~9:00am
•Until work is finished. (Generally 8hrs .) Starting pay is $26+ DOE .
Guaranteed Overtime:
Time and a half after 40 hours a week!

RESPONSIBILITIES
:
+ Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
+ Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes along with minor and major repairs from A/C, hydraulics, electrical, welding, engine replacement, transmissions, etc.
+ Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
+ Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans in our system
+ Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
+ Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
+ Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
+ Communicate with drivers for issues in morning and afternoon
+ Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
+ Follows all Waste Connections repair shop regulations and standards
REQUIREMENTS
:
+ Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required)
+ Experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
+ Provide personal tools.
+ Class
B CDL OR
the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment if required.
+ Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
+ Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information in English.
