Job Description

Morgan Van Lines is seeking a dependable, experienced Truck Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our diesel-powered trucks and equipment. The right candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and scheduled services Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic system issues Complete DOT inspection-related repairs and help maintain regulatory compliance Use diagnostic equipment, service manuals, and wiring diagrams Document repairs, parts used, and completed maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate repair needs and equipment status clearly Perform road-service calls when required Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications 3+ years of diesel truck repair experience preferred Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance Ability to use diagnostic tools and shop equipment safely Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical service information Must provide basic hand tools Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record CDL preferred but not required DOT inspector and brake certifications are a plus Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in, under, and around trucks Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team Benefits Competitive hourly pay Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Retirement plan with company match Uniforms and safety equipment Company-paid training and certifications Stable, year-round work Why Join Morgan Van Lines?
