JOB DESCRIPTION
Lisk Trucking Inc. has an immediate full-time opening for a Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Diesel Technincian. Lisk Trucking Inc. is a successful family owned and operated trucking company based in Wadesboro, NC that has been in business since 1973. Lisk Trucking Inc. is looking for motivated and dependable applicants with a mechanical aptitute with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. We are looking for several qualified Diesel Techicians!
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma (or GED) Must have two (2) years' experience performing vehicle maintenance or a combination of trade school for heavy duty vehicle maintenance and experience. A valid driver's license is required. Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks. Pre-employment drug test/background check. Recommended Qualifications but

ASE Certifications CDL Preferred TIA Certification Federal Annual and Brake Inspector Certification
POSITION DETAILS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:
Repairs and Maintains both diesel class 8 Heavy Trucks and Dry Bulk Trailers. Ability to competently read and understand job order processes, and to document all repair processes to company standards. Ability to work within a team setting and assist others when needed. Organized and ability to maintain a clean work area. Ability to perform all PM procedures on different types of tractors and trailers. Diagnose heavy duty truck system components to include electrical, air, brake/abs, and emissions related to fault codes, etc. Responsible for diagnosing, repairing and replacing faulty parts and completing those tasks in a correct and timely manner. Perform valve and injector overhead adjustments according to OEM procedures. Perform periodic maintenance on SCR, DOC, DPF, and DEF systems. Ability to examine all truck systems and components, ensuring vehicles are in compliance with Federal annual inspection and brake system criteria guidelines. Lubricate moving parts and components to include drive line, Pto drive line, suspension and steering system. Ability to install any of the following parts: cross members, lights, wiring, brakes, valves, airlines, wheel end components, landing gear, frame assembly, and other parts. Ability to perform general and major repairs by welding, pulling, straightening, riveting, and aligning multiple structural parts. Ability to examine system parts looking for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air leaks, oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, as well as safety devices on all types of trailers. Perform air system and lighting system tests to include ABS system function while ensuring the trailer meets OEM, Federal annual inspection, and brake system criteria guidelines and industry conformance to specifications. Fabricates various attachments, supports, reinforcement, gussets, etc. according to general designs, blueprints or schematic drawings. Demonstrate excellent attendance, show up to work on time, and in the correct uniform. Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE and demonstrate a safety conscious mindset.

Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, chemicals and moderate to high noise levels May be required to drive service truck to off-site locations and perform work May be required to participate in rotational on call schedule Exposure to climate conditions of the geographic area Exposure to moving mechanical parts and hot exhaust system parts Exposure to wet or humid conditions Must regularly lift or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 100lbs Must regularly use hands and arms to feel, handle, reach Required to stand, lay on a creeper, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl Must be able to work with supervisors and other team members as necessary to accomplish tasks in a safe and timely manner.
