We are looking for a first-rate motor coach technician who has all phases of experience in motorcoach diagnostics and repair to include. Electronics Diagnostics/repair HVAC diagnostics/repair Engine diagnostics, major and minor repair Driveline/transmission diagnostics/repair Suspension and braking diagnostics/repair Full scale electronics diagnostics/ repair Motor coach performance You must also have the capacity to utilize motor coach maintenance software, embrace best practices related to OSHA and have a willingness to attend educational opportunities when offered. Experience in related diesel technology, support equipment repair for facilities maintenance and snow removal will be required on occasion. Be able to perform your duties with minimal or no supervision. In addition, you will be a team player willing to lend a hand when needed as well as learn from others. Most importantly you will conduct your duties with an emphasis on safety, compliance, cleanliness and humility. Summary The C&J Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and repairing motor coaches and medium-duty trucks under minimal supervision. Responsibilities will include preventative maintenance inspections, warranty procedures, electrical troubleshooting, and diagnostics/repairs to air and hydraulic brakes, tires, Allison transmissions, steering & suspension, AC, and Volvo, Cummins, CAT, and Detroit Diesel engines. Assists other mechanics in repairs and is expected to comply with safety, EPA, OSHA, and FMCSA procedures. Expected to continue to learn additional mechanical duties such as advanced computer diagnostics, and internal engine/transmission repairs. Attendance is a mandatory function of the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.
Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, hydraulics; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs on digital forms.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing defective parts in diesel engines with the aim of minimizing downtime.
Skilled at using computer diagnostic systems on diesel engines and machinery to determine issues.
Able to perform complex preventative maintenance such as tune-ups, front-end alignments and brake adjustments.
Well-versed in operating related machinery and equipment such as hoists and forklifts to assist in repair work.
Exceptional mechanical aptitude aimed at carrying out repair and maintenance work on diesel engines with precision and in accordance to industry standards.
Special talent for handling operations in auto, metal and body shops with an aim to keep machinery up and running constantly.
Excellent physical dexterity targeted at lifting and carrying up to 55 lbs. from one place to another by employing safety and following best practices.
Good analytic and problem-solving skills aimed at understanding mechanical problems, determining resolutions, and employing appropriate solutions.
Ability to work an occasional flexible schedule including, weekends, holidays and on-call rotations for roadside assistance. Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of three years of proven heavy-duty diesel engine repair plus PM's, tire & wheel, air & hydraulic brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics and electrical. Experience with Volvo/CAT/Detroit and Cummins engines preferred.
Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and the ability to meet our driving qualification to include DOT physical and pre-employment drug testing; CDL A or B, passenger endorsement preferred.
Must possess at minimum a set of hand tools up to ¾.
