Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and propane forklifts and related material-handling equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing procedures. Complete pre-use, post-use, and scheduled equipment inspections to confirm safe, reliable operation. Maintain accurate service records, maintenance schedules, and parts-usage documentation. Work with equipment operators and operations leadership to identify performance issues and prioritize repairs. Follow OSHA, PPE, and site safety requirements while maintaining a clean work area and supporting additional operational projects as needed.
Requirements Required:
Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining forklifts or similar industrial material-handling equipment. Working knowledge of diesel and propane systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment diagnostics. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and use hand tools, diagnostic tools, and testing procedures company tools are supplied. Strong problem-solving, documentation, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail, with a commitment to safe work practices. Able to lift up to 50 lbs, read, write, and communicate in English, and work in outdoor lumberyard and open warehouse conditions with noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving machinery.
Preferred:
Experience working in an industrial yard, lumberyard, mill, warehouse, or similar production environment. #FJ1
Compensation:
$28.50 - $35.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
