Experienced Diesel Mechanic Wanted in Kelso! Are you an experienced diesel technician who loves working on Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax platforms, dialing in custom aftermarket upgrades, and keeping commercial workhorse fleets in peak condition? American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier, high-volume diesel specialty repair and performance shop in Kelso, WA to hire a full-time, skilled Diesel Mechanic . Working in a well-equipped, fast-paced shop environment, you will handle bumper-to-bumper preventative maintenance, complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics, and high-performance modifications on personal light-duty diesel trucks and commercial fleet vehicles. If you bring at least 3 years of professional wrenching experience, your own tools, and a pride-in-craftsmanship mindset, let's put your skills to work! Description for

Diesel Mechanic:

Perform comprehensive bumper-to-bumper preventative maintenance, fluid exchanges, brake service, steering/suspension overhauls, and tune-ups on personal light trucks and commercial fleet vehicles. Execute custom aftermarket performance upgrades, power adders, suspension lift/leveling kits, and specialized vehicle modifications to client specifications. Conduct advanced mechanical, electrical, and computer diagnostics to identify drivability issues, fuel system faults, and check-engine codes. Troubleshoot, rebuild, or replace turbos, injectors, high-pressure oil pumps, emissions systems, cooling components, and drive trains. Operate heavy shop equipment, hydraulic vehicle lifts, specialty scan tools, and diagnostic software safely and efficiently. Accurately document repair work, labor hours, and parts tracking on daily digital work orders and shop management logs. Pay Rate:

$22.00

•$30.00 / hour (Scaling strictly based on verifiable diagnostic depth, diesel specialization, and years of trade experience / DOE).

Schedule:

Full-Time Monday

•Friday (Guaranteed weekday routine with weekends OFF!).

Shift Hours:

7:00 AM

•5:00 PM (Features a full 1-hour lunch break daily from 12:00 PM

•1:00 PM ).

Location:

Kelso, WA shop facility.

Position Type:

Diesel Mechanic:
Verifiable Experience:

Minimum of 3+ years of professional technician experience working in an automotive, light diesel, or commercial fleet repair facility.

Tool Requirements:

Must own and provide a comprehensive set of personal mechanic tools and roll-cart/box suitable for bumper-to-bumper repairs.

Platform Knowledge:

Solid mechanical and diagnostic familiarity with major light diesel platforms (Ford Powerstroke, Ram Cummins, GM Duramax) and commercial work trucks.

Driver's License:

Valid Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving record for test-driving client and fleet vehicles.

Physical Capabilities:

Ability to stand for long periods, maneuver around engine bays, and lift up to 75 lbs unassisted. Exceptional history of prompt morning attendance, self-directed diagnostic troubleshooting, and dependable teamwork.
