Northside Elevator is looking for an experienced Diesel & Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our diverse fleet of semis, trucks, trailers, forklifts, spray rigs, spreaders, and other agricultural equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, fixing problems, and taking pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, tire, engine, transmission, and other equipment issues. Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, filters, fluids, lubrication, tune-ups, tire service, and inspections. Maintain and repair semis, trucks, trailers, forklifts, spray rigs, spreaders, and other equipment. Inspect equipment for safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Identify parts and supplies needed to complete repairs. Document repairs and preventative maintenance using our maintenance software. Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment concerns. Help keep our fleet safe, dependable, and ready for our employees and customers. What We're Looking For Previous mechanic experience with diesel, automotive, agricultural, heavy-duty, or similar equipment. Formal diesel or technical training is a plus. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, tires, and other vehicle components. Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and follow work through to completion. Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. A CDL is preferred but not required for candidates willing to consider obtaining one. Ability to perform the physical requirements of a hands-on mechanic position. Why Northside?
