401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance Wellness resources Position Summary The Bilingual Mechanical Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer facilities. This position serves as a key technical resource for customers and internal teams, providing hands-on mechanical support to ensure maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and performance. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams while providing bilingual support in both Korean and English. This position requires working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment, and previous experience in a cleanroom environment may be beneficial. This role is based out of our Georgia office and requires regular travel to customer sites within Georgia and throughout our US operational footprint, with occasional international travel for training and support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities according to equipment specifications and customer requirements. Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and conduct root cause analysis to identify effective solutions. Troubleshoot mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, bearings, pneumatics, plumbing systems, and related components. Support equipment startups, process qualifications, and optimization projects. Work directly with customer technicians, engineers, operators, and management teams to resolve technical issues. Provide professional communication and technical support in both Korean and English. Document service activities, maintenance records, equipment performance data, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements. Support emergency service calls and after-hours maintenance activities as necessary. Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities. Required Qualifications Professional fluency in both Korean and English, including speaking, reading, and writing. Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field. Mechanical troubleshooting experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, semiconductor equipment, or related industries preferred. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including: Pneumatic systems Pumps and fluid handling systems Bearings and linear motion components Valves and plumbing systems Mechanical assemblies and moving equipment Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge is preferred but not required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic technical reporting software. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Valid passport or ability to obtain one. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Experience working in cleanroom environments. OSHA training or willingness to obtain required safety certifications. Previous field service experience supporting customer equipment installations and repairs. Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and contamination control procedures. Semiconductor Cleanroom Work Environment This position routinely requires work within semiconductor fabrication facilities and cleanroom environments. Employees must be comfortable working in highly controlled manufacturing settings where strict contamination and safety protocols are enforced. Cleanroom responsibilities and requirements may include: Wearing cleanroom garments (bunny suit, hood, gloves, safety glasses, boot covers, and face coverings) for extended periods. Following contamination control procedures and cleanroom entry requirements. Working around advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and chemical process systems. Adhering to customer-specific environmental health and safety requirements. Working in areas with elevated noise levels, process chemicals, and specialized manufacturing systems while utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintaining cleanliness standards and proper handling of sensitive equipment and components. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined areas for extended periods. Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems for extended durations. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Ability to wear required PPE and cleanroom garments for prolonged periods. Schedule Monday through Friday Typical work schedule of 40+ hours per week Overtime and weekend work may be required based on customer needs On-call support may be required Travel Requirements Up to 40% travel to customer facilities throughout the United States. Occasional international travel for training, equipment support, or customer project requirements.
