Overtime:

Salaried position. However, this candidate will typically work an average of 5-10 hours of overtime per week, which can add approximately $18,000-$30,000 to their annual compensation. There is also some flexibility in the base salary depending on how the interview process goes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic for automated machinery and equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings. Perform system startup, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting at customer sites. Assist with electrical wiring, panel modifications, and field installations as needed. Diagnose and resolve controls, electrical, and automation-related issues. Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. Support continuous improvement efforts and system upgrades.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of PLC logic and troubleshooting. Experience with any major PLC platform is acceptable. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and control drawings. Hands-on electrical experience, including wiring and electrical construction activities. Comfortable working both in the field and on the programming side of projects. Willingness to travel extensively for installations, commissioning, and customer support. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

Industrial automation or machine controls experience. Electrical panel troubleshooting and field service experience. Startup and commissioning experience in a manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wood Dale, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
