At ANDRITZ - Allen-Sherman-Hoff (ASH), you'll work directly inside power plants and industrial facilities, helping customers troubleshoot, optimize, and improve critical material handling systems that keep operations running. This is a hands-on, field-based role that blends technical problem solving, customer interaction, and business development -ideal for someone who enjoys working with equipment while identifying opportunities to improve performance and grow business. What You'll Do Field Service & Troubleshooting Perform on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting of ash handling and material handling systems Support installation, startup, shutdowns, and commissioning activities Evaluate existing systems (ANDRITZ and competitor equipment) Conduct multi-day site assessments to identify performance improvements Customer-Facing & Relationship Building Work directly with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams Deliver technical recommendations, system evaluations, and training Build long-term customer relationships through hands-on support Act as a trusted advisor in solving equipment and process challenges Business Development & Growth Identify and develop aftermarket service, upgrade, and parts opportunities Support technical proposals, scopes, and solution development Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Aftermarket teams Help expand ASH's reach into new industries and applications What This Role Is Really Like You'll spend time in the field at customer sites , not behind a desk You'll work directly on industrial equipment and real-world system challenges You'll be the bridge between technical problem solving and business growth Travel (~50%) is tied to hands-on work and meaningful customer engagement Who This Role Is Built For This role is ideal for individuals coming from: Field Service Engineer - industrial equipment Maintenance / Reliability Engineer (power plant or heavy industry) Mechanical Engineer with hands-on troubleshooting experience Aftermarket, service, or equipment support roles Technical sales or service engineers in industrial environments What You Bring Experience working with industrial equipment, mechanical systems, or material handling systems Hands-on experience with: Troubleshooting Maintenance Commissioning or field service Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in field environments Interest in combining technical expertise with business development Experience in power generation, ash handling, material handling, or heavy industrial environments is a strong plus Travel Approximately 50% travel to customer sites across the U.S. Travel is tied directly to field service, troubleshooting, and customer engagement Why ANDRITZ - Allen-Sherman-Hoff Work directly with real industrial equipment and operational challenges Build relationships with major power and industrial customers Grow into a role that combines technical expertise and business impact Be part of a global leader in material handling and process equipment solutions All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
