We provide proactive IT support, cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, consulting, and infrastructure management for organizations across a variety of industries. Position Overview

MSP EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

This is an experienced IT engineering position—not an entry-level help desk role. Charleston Tech Support is seeking an experienced MSP IT Engineer who can independently support business clients, troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform field service, and participate in infrastructure and cybersecurity projects.

This Position Is For You If You:

Have 3+ years of hands-on professional IT experience Have worked in an MSP environment supporting multiple business clients Can independently troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, networking and server issues Are comfortable working directly with clients Can handle a ticket from initial diagnosis through resolution without supervision Have experience with RMM/PSA tools Can travel to client sites when necessary Want to work on infrastructure and security projects rather than exclusively answering help-desk tickets Key Responsibilities Client Support & Field Service Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware, software, networking, and cloud services Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple/macOS, networking, printers, and connected devices Manage computer hardware installations, upgrades, configurations, and deployments Resolve break/fix issues and provide end-user training as needed Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and client records Communicate professionally with clients and provide timely updates on service requests Infrastructure & Project Work Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows Server, Apple/macOS, and endpoint environments Lead and assist with infrastructure projects including network refreshes, cloud migrations, and system upgrades Configure and support firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, and routing/switching environments Perform email, identity, and data migrations between platforms Assist with onboarding new clients and evaluating existing IT infrastructure Security & Compliance Implement and support cybersecurity solutions including MFA, endpoint protection, patch management, backup solutions, ITDR, and SIEM platforms Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and identity security controls Resolve security incidents and identify potential risks Support implementation of security controls aligned with NIST, and industry best practices Adhere to HIPAA and client-specific compliance requirements Team Collaboration Serve as an escalation resource for junior technicians when needed Document environments, procedures, and technical solutions Assist with process improvement initiatives Participate in after-hours maintenance and project work when required Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional IT support experience MSP experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of: Microsoft 365 Microsoft Entra ID Intune Google Workspace Windows 11 Windows Server

TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP LAN/WAN
