Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic restoration team as a Restoration Technician, where your expertise will be vital in responding swiftly to emergency situations involving water, fire, mold, and other property damages. In this energetic role, you will be on the front lines of restoring homes and businesses to their original condition, ensuring safety and satisfaction for our clients. Your proactive approach and dedication will help us deliver exceptional service during critical moments, making a real difference in people's lives. This position offers on-call coverage and requires readiness to respond promptly to various emergency scenarios, utilizing your skills in cleaning, construction, and restoration industry best practices. Duties Respond quickly to emergency calls involving water damage, fire, mold, asbestos abatement, and flood restoration efforts. Perform cleaning, debris removal, and detailed restoration work using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws. Conduct moisture inspections, water extraction, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement following established safety procedures. Utilize Xactimate software for damage assessment and job estimating; document work thoroughly for client records. Implement safety protocols including respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) use during all job activities. Assist with construction-related tasks such as demolition, drywall installation, carpet cleaning, and minor repairs to restore property integrity. Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure understanding of process timelines and safety measures. Follow all safety guidelines related to respiratory protection and hazardous material handling to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in regular training on emergency response readiness and industry-specific certifications to stay current with best practices. Qualifications Prior experience in restoration services or related construction fields is highly preferred but not required; industry-specific certifications are a plus. Strong knowledge of water damage restoration, flood recovery techniques, fire restoration processes, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and company vehicles safely and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client interactions during stressful situations. Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection measures. Flexibility to participate in on-call coverage for emergency response at any time of day or night. Good physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
