Management retains the discretion of adding or changing the duties of the position at any time. RIDE Services is seeking a hardworking Field Service Technician for the Customer Service Department. The field technician will be responsible for working at Customer facilities diagnosing and repairing buses/trucks under warranty and performing Customer support and campaigns required by RIDE or the Customer vehicles.
JOB DESCRIPTION 1.
Under general supervision of the Field Service Manager or Supervisor, the Technician will complete work assignments at Customer facilities, RIDE locations and may be asked to perform other maintenance duties as assigned. 2. Perform diagnosis and repairs of warranty related issues. Provide Customer interface and reports on field maintenance activities. 3. Responds to Customer requests, comments or complaints as needed. Assist Customer with maintenance related issues. 4. Order parts as needed, coordinates repairs and provides daily Service reports/Parts requisitions as needed. 5. Coordinates new vehicle delivery acceptance with Customers in US and Canada 6. Provide daily status reporting to Customer Service Manager/Supervisor. 7. Follows up with Parts clerks for parts availability and ETA.
Requirements :
1. Knowledge of transit bus maintenance operations and field service support. 2. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience. 3. ASE Transit Bus Certifications 4. Transit bus Technician experience, preferably working in a field service environment. 5. Experienced in bus maintenance and repair. Experience with computer-based diagnostics in bus maintenance operations. Experience with bus Electric drive systems preferred. 6. Ability to travel and work in the Customer's environment. Weekends, nights and long hours will occur. 7.
License:
Must possess a valid driver's license in home state and no more than one infraction during previous three years. Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred. If non at this time, the ability to obtain.

None TRAVEL Travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED).
