Field Service Technician We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a technical expert for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with CNC and Water Jet equipment. You will also play a key role in providing top-tier technical support to customers while maintaining high-quality standards. Travel is required for this position. Responsibilities Responsible for the installation and setup of CNC machines and WaterJets Independently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control issues at customer sites. Work directly with our customers to repair, program, and troubleshoot their control systems, specifically Delta Tau, Fanuc and Siemens Calibrate, program, and troubleshoot machine controls Work closely with manufacturing and engineering to get machines up and running to capacity Communicate with managers to inform of situations that may impact production Compile records of equipment and machinery information used on customer site Assist in maintaining and monitoring inventory of spare parts for all machines to minimize downtime Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as needed Serve as a trusted technical advisor and professional representative of Flex Machine Tools at customer facilities. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs Requirements Successful completion of a certification program at a Junior College or equivalent formal training in a related field. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong electrical and hydraulic experience - Pneumatic experience is a plus Programming Logic Controllers (PLC), preferably Delta Tau, Fanuc, and Siemens is a plus Experience with Renishaw laser scanner and ballbar system is preferred. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job Must be able to travel 80 - 90% of the time Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-format CNC machine tools. Experience with 4 and 5-axis machining centers. Background with machine tool builders, machine tool distributors, or industrial automation organizations. Pay:
$28.00 - $40.00 per hour
