Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and optimization of industrial compressed air systems. You will serve as a technical expert, ensuring equipment reliability and performance while delivering high-quality solutions that directly impact our clients' operational efficiency. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on rotary screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal air compressor systems. Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using precision measurement tools to restore equipment to peak performance. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate parts procurement and project scheduling for seamless service delivery. Provide technical guidance during equipment commissioning and start-up phases to ensure adherence to customer specifications. Educate clients on the value of diagnostic services, leak detection, and system audits to improve their long-term productivity. Mentor junior technicians and apprentices to foster technical growth and maintain high service standards across the team. Maintain accurate service documentation and utilize mobile technology to manage work orders and reporting. Qualifications Required Skills 2+ years of experience in industrial or commercial mechanical system troubleshooting. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 12 months. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, kneeling, and working in various industrial environments. Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office and mobile devices. Preferred Skills Technical degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, HVAC, or a related field. Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial motor controls. EPA or refrigeration certification. Previous experience with industrial air compressor maintenance or air treatment systems. Strong background in AC/DC circuits and high-voltage systems.
