In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics. Conduct routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems to maximize equipment uptime. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving fabrication, welding, and assembly of parts to restore equipment functionality efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus to execute repairs with precision. Interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings for accurate repairs and modifications. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols; assist in equipment installation and assembly as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Experience Proven experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician or mechanic within a dealership or industrial setting. Strong background in construction machinery maintenance including excavators, scrapers, bulldozers, motor graders and other heavy equipment. Hands-on experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair; familiarity with transmissions and hydraulics is essential. Knowledge of OEM parts specifications for Caterpillar or similar brands; experience with fabrication or welding is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and power lifting devices for heavy equipment servicing.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
