Role:
This is a opening for a 2nd or 3rd shift position . Will hire the willing to learn. All Training will be done on 1st shift until deemed by manager then moved to 2nd or 3rd. The Medium Motors Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of medium-sized motor vehicles and equipment within the service industry. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan. The mechanic will work closely with service teams to identify issues promptly and implement effective solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems are essential to prevent breakdowns and maintain operational efficiency. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the reliability and safety of transportation assets, supporting the overall success of the organization. Experience will determine the length of training and wage.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal training program or apprenticeship in automotive or medium motor mechanics. Proven experience working as a mechanic on medium-sized motors. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from a recognized automotive or diesel mechanic program (e.g., ASE certification). Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment and software. Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in the service industry or a related field.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on medium-sized motors to identify potential issues before they escalate. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and manual inspection, then execute repairs or replacements of faulty components. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours. Collaborate with other technicians and service personnel to ensure timely and efficient completion of repair jobs. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

The required skills enable the mechanic to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical issues, ensuring operate safely and efficiently. Proficiency in reading technical manuals and using diagnostic tools is essential for identifying problems and implementing effective solutions. Monday - Friday overtime is paid at 1.5X, Saturday is paid at 2X and Sunday is paid at 2.5X.
