FTE Drilling operates in the drilling industry, with job sites located across the United States. We're looking for a site mechanic to maintain and repair our drill rigs and trucks, directly in the field.
The Role Fly-in fly-out position:
you travel from site to site across the US. You work on the electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of heavy equipment, often independently and away from a shop. Your Day-to-Day Tasks Diagnose and repair the electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of drill rigs and trucks Adjust machinery, repair or replace defective parts Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery Prepare parts lists and estimate the time needed for a repair Order and replace worn-out parts, track ongoing availability of materials Read plans, diagrams, and technical manuals from the manufacturer Write your technical intervention reports and keep daily reporting up to date Provide mechanical or maintenance advice to clients directly on-site Suggest ways to improve equipment performance and longevity Required Skills DVS (DEP) in mechanics, or equivalent relevant experience 5 to 7 years of mechanical experience Able to lift loads of about 25 kg and remain standing for long periods Autonomous, organized, and safety-conscious Willing to travel from site to site across USA (fly-in fly-out) and adapt to remote regions Assets Hydraulics and pneumatics technician training Forklift certification Overhead crane certification
