About the Role As a Field Equipment Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of a diverse fleet of machinery. By leveraging advanced diagnostic software and hands-on mechanical expertise, you will drive equipment uptime and deliver high-quality repair solutions for our customers. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems to ensure peak equipment performance. Utilize digital diagnostic tools and tablet-based software to identify root causes and document service outcomes efficiently. Promote a culture of safety by strictly adhering to industry-standard repair protocols and best practices. Mentor junior staff members to elevate the overall technical proficiency of the service team. Manage the procurement of necessary parts and coordinate equipment logistics to minimize service turnaround times. Maintain precise digital records of all maintenance activities to ensure compliance and operational transparency. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and diesel engine repair. Advanced proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and hydraulic system diagnostics. Comfortable using mobile technology and diagnostic software for work order management. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment in the field. Preferred Skills Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations. Prior experience in a fast-paced rental or industrial service environment. Relevant technical certifications or specialized OEM training.
