Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Landscape Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of landscaping equipment, heavy machinery, and power generation systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our commitment to delivering top-quality landscaping services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of our projects. Duties Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on landscaping machinery, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other small engines. Troubleshoot electrical systems and conduct electrical diagnostics on various equipment to identify faults and implement solutions. Repair and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and power generation systems used in landscaping operations. Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Conduct equipment troubleshooting to resolve mechanical failures promptly, minimizing downtime. Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs with precision. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment parts during maintenance procedures while adhering to safety standards. Requirements Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with landscaping or heavy machinery is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, small engines, and equipment repair. Experience with electrical work including electrical diagnostics and soldering is essential. Familiarity with schematics, mechanical systems repair, engine repair (including diesel engines), and power generation systems. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively using technical manuals and diagnostic tools. Knowledge of Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, generator repair, electrical work, and small engine maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment maintenance techniques required for efficient repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks diligently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when needed. Pay:
