POSITION SUMMARY
The GPS Technician will be responsible for the operation of map and route tracking GPS equipment and operating the GPS rover.
Duties will include:
Calibration and maintenance of the specialized sensor system; Calibrate machines outfitted with GPS equipment Meet with owner representatives to meet project specifications (pre-construction, during construction, & post construction) Troubleshoot problems, work with shop manager to order necessary equipment repairs Attend training workshops to gain state certification Attend manufacturers workshop to gain certification Work in a quality control role between GPS projects Report project results on a daily basis to the owner and project manager Work both in a office and outdoors setting Work hours up to 70 hours per week Work 75 % of all Saturdays Ability to operate heavy equipment while trouble shooting Competent in Math & Technology Surveying Experience Full-time seasonal position SAFETY We prioritize the safety and wellness of our road construction processes by following the Company's safety programs and policies, thus mitigating risk and improving overall productivity of the projects with safety at the forefront.
