We're looking for an experienced Senior Fleet & Batch Plant Mechanic to become the technical leader of our Syracuse maintenance operation. Working alongside our General Manager, you'll be the senior technician responsible for diagnosing complex repairs, maintaining our fleet and batch plant, and helping ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This is not a management position. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to be the go-to technical expert in the shop. What You'll Do As our Senior Fleet & Batch Plant Mechanic, you'll play a key role in keeping our operation running.

Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnose and repair ready-mix trucks, loaders, dump trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Troubleshoot and repair concrete batch plants, conveyors, and related production equipment. Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, diesel, and mechanical systems. Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Prioritize repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Work closely with the General Manager to coordinate repair priorities based on operational needs. Assist and mentor other mechanics when technical guidance is needed. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation using Fleetio. Recommend improvements that increase equipment reliability and shop efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Five or more years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanic experience. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Experience with hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Experience with concrete batch plants or industrial equipment is preferred, but not required—we're willing to train the right mechanic. Strong communication and organizational skills. The ability to work independently while collaborating with operations. A professional attitude and strong work ethic. Why You'll Enjoy This Role No two days are the same.
