Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to work on complex systems including hydraulics, transmissions, and diesel engines. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support our operations. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldzers, crushers, screeners, dumptrucks and other construction equipment. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, and fluid checks. Utilize OEM schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and transmission systems. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs and maintenance activities. Adhere to safety protocols during all repair procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience with JPro diagnostic system is a plus. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or industrial machinery; dealership experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of OEM parts, hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Proficiency with schematics, diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Experience with vehicle maintenance including tractor-trailers or similar large vehicles is desirable. Knowledge of fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
