Mobile Service Technician responsible for traveling to customer locations to diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and emergency vehicles. testing requirements Preferred Skills Fire apparatus or emergency vehicle experience Experience servicing fire trucks, ambulances, pumpers, or aerial apparatus PA Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement Current DOT Medical Card PA State Inspection License, minimum Class 3 A/C certification for CFC-12/HFC-134a systems Experience with engine and transmission diagnostic software Experience with hydraulic systems Experience with fire pump systems Experience with aerial devices Experience with emergency vehicle systems Fleet or commercial truck maintenance experience Job Responsibilities Travel to customer locations to perform field repairs, maintenance, and inspections Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and emergency vehicles Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines Diagnose and service fire pump and aerial systems Troubleshoot hydraulic systems Repair braking, steering, and suspension systems Diagnose charging, starting, and other vehicle electrical systems Troubleshoot drivetrain and transmission systems Use volt/ohm meters, amp meters, pressure gauges, precision gauges, micrometers, dial calipers, battery testers, and diagnostic equipment Use engine, brake, and vehicle diagnostic software Determine required repairs and replacement parts Complete work orders, service documentation, and time records Maintain an organized and properly equipped service vehicle Maintain personal mechanic tools and field service equipment Perform repairs intended to minimize repeat service calls
