Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help maintain one of Vermont's largest construction equipment fleets. This is a mix of shop and field work , with opportunities to work on everything from excavators and loaders to trucks, crushers, paving equipment, and more. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, drivetrain, and braking systems Troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently Complete shop and field service work Work independently and as part of a team What We're Looking For Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician or Diesel Mechanic Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Experience with CAT equipment is a plus Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus) Positive attitude and attention to detail Why Work at S.D.
