Job Description

McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South-Central Regions, has an opening for a Shop Service Technician in our Merrill, WI dealership. The Shop Service Technician position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel and gasoline industrial, construction and forestry equipment.

    Career Development Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Must have heavy equipment and construction equipment experience.
    • Ability to make major and minor repairs on construction and forestry equipment, including but not limited to, diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, transmission & axles, cooling systems, chassis repairs, and some welding.
    • Perform regular and preventative maintenance including inspections, oil changes, attachment installation, etc.
    • Utilize a computer or mobile device to perform diagnostic tests and maintain accurate records of repairs.
    • Maintain cleanliness in the shop.
    • Must have basic computer skills.
    • You must possess a valid driver's license.
    Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred:
    • Associate degree or Certificate from a technical school
    • Heavy Equipment diesel Technician experience
