In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help deliver comfortable indoor environments across commercial and residential properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, ventilation systems, and building automation controls. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to troubleshoot issues effectively. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems associated with HVAC equipment. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to optimize efficiency and extend equipment lifespan. Diagnose complex HVAC system problems through mechanical inspections and electrical testing; execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain repair options clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service throughout every interaction. Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and installation processes. Service technician experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems in commercial or residential settings. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans; familiarity with building automation systems is a plus. Knowledge of plumbing and electrical diagnostics related to HVAC equipment; ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using appropriate tools like ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation fans, ductwork systems, and related components. Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters, and specialized diagnostic tools for equipment repair. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; knowledge of environmental regulations is essential. Ability to work independently in the field as well as part of a team; excellent customer service skills are required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred.
