Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Installation Helper and be a vital part of delivering comfortable, efficient climate control solutions to our customers. In this energetic role, you will assist experienced technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating equipment, refrigeration systems, and building automation controls. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients' spaces. A strong mechanical aptitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role. Duties Assist senior technicians with the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, electrical wiring, and mechanical components. Support the setup and connection of refrigeration units, boilers, and air conditioning equipment following schematics and HVAC design plans. Help troubleshoot mechanical systems using hand tools, ohmmeters, and electrical diagnostics to identify issues during installation or service calls. Prepare job sites by organizing tools, materials, and equipment necessary for installation projects. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical systems, plumbing connections, and building automation systems. Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as system inspections, cleaning components, and verifying proper operation of HVAC/R equipment. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely project completion and exceptional customer service. Qualifications Prior construction experience or hands-on work in mechanical or electrical fields is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and electrical diagnostics. Familiarity with HVAC system repair, installation procedures, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R systems including refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning systems, and building automation controls. Use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers along with testing devices like ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Valid EPA certification or willingness to obtain it upon hire to handle refrigerants safely. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Pay:
$26.83 - $32.31 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
