HVAC Service Technician Pay:
$20.00-35.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal inspections to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment, components, and controls according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Inspect electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems to identify issues and recommend effective solutions. Test system performance using specialized diagnostic tools and adjust equipment for maximum efficiency. Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs while maintaining a high level of customer service. Explain repair options, maintenance recommendations, and system operation to customers in a clear and professional manner. Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations and environmental guidelines. Maintain inventory of service vehicle parts, tools, and equipment to ensure job readiness. Collaborate with team members, dispatchers, and management to coordinate service schedules and customer needs. Identify opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, and energy-efficiency enhancements. Stay current on HVAC technologies, products, and industry best practices through ongoing training. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at customer locations and company facilities.
Job Qualifications:
At least 1 year of HVAC experience required High school diploma or equivalent required EPA 1, 2, or universal preferred Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required Excellent written, verbal, and active listening skills Exceptional customer service skills Technical knowledge Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work individually and as part of a team The starting base range for this position is $20.00 to $35.00 an hour. This is the range of the base pay only; it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
