  • Job Description
  • Join our team as an HVAC Technician where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing HVAC systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the facility.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Study system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
+ Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and detect malfunctions in system component parts. + Prepare systems for operation by opening valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers, and start equipment and auxiliary machinery. + Start systems, observe operation, read gauges and instruments, and adjust mechanisms like actuators, valves, controls, and pumps to control system operation. + Monitor the Energy Management System for alarms and out-of-spec situations, investigate, and take appropriate actions. + Respond to associate hot/cold temperature complaints and discuss system malfunctions with users to isolate problems. + Record temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheets at specific intervals. + Operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges. + Assemble structural and functional components such as motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring harnesses, valves, pumps, compressors, cores, and pipes using screws, bolts, rivets, welds, and brazes. + Install wiring to connect components to electrical power sources. + Dismantle malfunctioning systems, test components, and replace or adjust defective or worn parts to repair systems. + Cut, thread, gas weld, and connect pipe to functional components of HVAC systems. + Cut, bend, crimp sheet metal, install air ducts, and associated sheet metal components. + Inspect and measure buildings to determine airflow requirements and install complete heat and air conditioning systems. + Lubricate fans, motors, and control units and perform preventative maintenance tasks on all HVAC equipment. + Maintain, organize, and control inventory supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties. + Clean and organize shop area, maintain inventory of spare parts and material, and ensure tools and equipment are maintained for maintenance work. + Attend classes and seminars on air conditioning components and system design to update skills.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Proficiency in HVAC, electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. + Experience with boilers, sheet metal, air conditioning, refrigeration, pipe fitting, steam equipment, and automation systems. + Journeyman certification or certificate from an accredited school. + 5+ years of experience in the field. + EPA Universal certification. + Valid driver's license.

  • + High School Diploma. + Strong organizational and inventory management skills.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $70720.
00 - $70720.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
