Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper and be a vital part of delivering comfort and efficiency to commercial and residential properties. In this energetic role, you will assist skilled technicians in installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry while developing your skills. Whether you're just starting out or have some experience, this role is designed to help you grow your expertise in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Support HVAC technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Use hand tools and electrical diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters to identify issues within electrical systems and mechanical components. Help troubleshoot equipment problems. Perform routine inspections of HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation; assist with system cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks. Support the repair HVAC units; assist with equipment repair and replacement as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide excellent service while supporting property maintenance needs. Qualifications Experience or prior work in HVAC is highly desirable, but not completely necessary; strong mechanical aptitude is essential. Experience with hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), and equipment troubleshooting techniques a plus. Knowledge of HVAC system installation, maintenance procedures is preferred. Familiarity with refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and appliance repair enhances your candidacy. Strong customer service skills coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service settings. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely. Relevant certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are a plus; mechanical or HVAC-specific certifications are advantageous. Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
