Job Summary This job position is for individuals who are capable of working on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Including but not limited to preventative maintenance, technical troubleshooting , major repairs, and new installations. This role is highly focused on learning, safety, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities Assist Senior Technicians:
Work alongside experienced technicians during the installation, repair, and replacement of HVAC/R equipment.
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, cleaning condenser/evaporator coils, checking belts, and clearing drain lines.
Basic Diagnostics:
Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical and mechanical issues in heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
Inventory & Tool Management:
Keep work vehicles fully stocked, organized, and clean. Ensure all tools are accounted for and in good working condition.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, including the safe handling and transport of refrigerants.
Customer Service:
Maintain a professional and polite demeanor when interacting with clients on job sites.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Training:
Completion of an accredited HVAC trade school program or equivalent apprenticeship/experience
Experience:
2+ years of HVAC experience
Certifications:
EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) is required
Licenses:
A valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (must be insurable)
Skills:
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems; ability to safely use hand and power tools
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs, climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces (attics, crawlspaces), and work in varying weather conditions (extreme heat or cold)
