In this energetic role, you will perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. We are looking for a motivated professional with a passion for mechanical systems and a commitment to exceptional service. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Perform repairs and system upgrades involving HVAC system repair, HVAC system installation, plumbing repairs, electrical system diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to service complex HVAC/R (refrigeration) units and building automation systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment following HVAC design specifications while adhering to safety protocols. Support field service operations by responding promptly to service calls and providing excellent customer service to building occupants or clients. Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations regarding refrigerants and environmental safety standards. Collaborate with team members on projects involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized mechanical systems to enhance operational efficiency. Operate a driver vehicle safely for transportation of tools or equipment between job sites. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, maintenance, and installation. Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building infrastructure integration. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and building automation systems is essential for diagnosing complex issues accurately. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; knowledge of electrical systems within HVAC/R applications is required. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; a valid driver's license is required for field mobility. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
