Full-Time | 1st Shift Keep Our Manufacturing Operation Moving Cibes|Symmetry is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment, machinery, and facility operating safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, preventing equipment failures, and finding solutions that minimize production downtime. You'll join an established manufacturer of residential elevators and accessibility products with more than 75 years of industry experience. Position Highlights Starting pay of $28 or more per hour , based on experience Weekdays, 1st-shift schedule Stable, established manufacturing company Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Comprehensive benefits package Opportunities for training, growth, and advancement Collaborative and safety-focused work environment What You'll Do Perform preventive and routine maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical problems involving bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics Troubleshoot electrical systems, including motors, sensors, control panels, variable frequency drives, and low- to medium-voltage wiring Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical documents, and equipment manuals Install, adjust, align, and repair equipment, components, and control devices Complete preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, inspections, and system checks Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all other established safety requirements Document completed repairs, parts used, equipment conditions, and preventive maintenance activities Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and improvement recommendations to supervisors, operators, and other team members Assist with general facility maintenance and repairs when needed Help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime Participate in training and cross-training activities Perform other related duties as assigned What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED At least two years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or mechanical repair experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, drawings, and other technical documentation Experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize changing maintenance needs in a production environment Ability to work safely, independently, and as part of a team Effective written and verbal communication skills Benefits and Perks Generous vacation and personal time Paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contribution Gym membership reimbursement Paid volunteer opportunities Training and career-advancement opportunities Physical Demands and Work Environment This position is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Employees must be able to:
