Hire Schedule:

Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Friday and Saturday may be required when overtime is needed. All scheduled overtime is mandatory. Candidates must be able to work required overtime when scheduled. A Confidential Company in the Reedy Fork / Browns Summit area is seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to install, assemble, wire, troubleshoot, and test electrical systems on large custom industrial air handling units. This is a hands on electrical position in an industrial manufacturing environment. Candidates must have previous industrial electrical or electrical assembly experience and be comfortable working from electrical schematics, blueprints, shop drawings, and wiring diagrams. The Electrical Mechanic will be responsible for assembling and installing electrical components on industrial HVAC equipment. Work includes installing EMT conduit, junction boxes, electrical panels, controls, fire alarm components, and low voltage wiring.

Daily responsibilities include:

Assemble, install, and wire electrical components on industrial HVAC equipment Install and work with EMT conduit Install junction boxes, electrical panels, controls, fire alarm components, and low voltage wiring Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, shop drawings, and wiring diagrams Pull, terminate, label, and test electrical wiring Troubleshoot electrical issues and verify proper system operation Use electrical hand tools and testing equipment safely and correctly Complete work according to NEC requirements and company quality standards Inspect completed electrical work for accuracy and quality Maintain a clean and safe work area Work closely with production team members to meet manufacturing schedules Follow all safety procedures and established work instructions This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to perform electrical work accurately in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

Previous industrial electrical or electrical assembly experience required 2 or more years of industrial electrical or electrical assembly experience preferred EMT conduit installation experience required Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints Experience reading wiring diagrams and following electrical layouts Experience pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing electrical wiring Knowledge of NEC standards Electrical troubleshooting ability Experience working with electrical panels and controls Fire alarm and low voltage wiring experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude Strong attention to detail and workmanship Ability to safely use electrical hand tools and testing equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team High school diploma or GED required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift Comfortable working in varying temperatures and a high noise manufacturing environment Must be available to work mandatory overtime, including Fridays and Saturdays when scheduled ONLY candidates with relevant electrical experience will be considered. This is NOT an entry level position and is NOT a training opportunity. Candidates must already have the electrical skills and experience necessary to perform this work.

Additional Details:

This is a Contract to Hire opportunity with an established industrial manufacturing operation. The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday, providing a four day standard workweek. However, production demands may require overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. When overtime is scheduled, attendance is mandatory.
