About the Role As a Field Service Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of diesel-powered trucks and material handling equipment. You will play a vital role in maximizing operational uptime for our clients by providing expert diagnostics and high-quality mechanical repairs in both shop and field environments. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive maintenance and complex repairs on gas, diesel, and electric heavy equipment and industrial forklifts. Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure peak operational safety and performance. Conduct proactive equipment inspections to identify and resolve potential failures before they impact productivity. Manage service documentation, including detailed logs of repairs, parts consumption, and maintenance schedules. Provide rapid response to field service calls, ensuring consistent support for fleet operators. Utilize technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot sophisticated equipment issues. Maintain a high standard of workplace safety by strictly adhering to OSHA regulations and internal protocols. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of professional experience in diesel, forklift, or heavy equipment maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Possession of a complete set of personal hand tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Skills Current ASE or equivalent mechanical certifications. Documented OEM training or certifications for major forklift or engine brands. Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish. Prior experience in a mobile or field-based service role.
