About the Role As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence by troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing complex machinery. You will leverage your technical expertise in mechanical systems and welding to minimize downtime and maintain a safe, high-performing production environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve mechanical malfunctions by inspecting equipment for wear, misalignment, or lubrication issues to ensure peak performance. Execute complex repairs and installations, including the assembly of gears, bearings, and shafts, to maintain equipment integrity. Perform precision machining and fabrication tasks using tools such as drill presses, power saws, and welding equipment to support facility needs. Minimize production interruptions by determining the most efficient repair strategies and performing necessary adjustments or part replacements. Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to strict safety protocols and environmental standards. Manage the lifecycle of equipment maintenance, from interpreting blueprints and work orders to documenting repairs and reporting supply needs. Collaborate with management to communicate equipment status, potential risks, and the necessity for emergency shutdowns to prevent long-term damage. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED. Proven ability to interpret technical blueprints and work instructions. Demonstrated experience in mechanical troubleshooting and industrial equipment repair. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team coordination. Ability to operate mobile industrial equipment and complete required safety training. Preferred Skills Associate degree in industrial maintenance or recognized journeyman status. 2-5 years of hands-on experience within an industrial or manufacturing setting. Advanced proficiency in welding, rigging, and precision mechanical assembly.
