Heidelberg Materials seeks a Day Shift Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, pumps, and plant systems, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and support safe, reliable operations. Working in a safety-first, collaborative culture, you'll follow strict safety and lockout/tagout procedures, document work, and contribute to continuous improvement while building your technical skills and long-term career. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and plant systems during day shift operations Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and keep equipment running safely and efficiently Inspect, adjust, and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other manufacturing machinery Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to plan and complete maintenance tasks Follow all Heidelberg Materials safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and housekeeping standards Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and maintenance team members to prioritize work and support production goals Document maintenance activities, parts used, and findings in maintenance logs or CMMSRecommend improvements to equipment reliability and participate in continuous improvement and root-cause analysis efforts Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems Preventive maintenance Welding and fabrication Reading schematics and technical manuals Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Root cause analysis Use of hand and power tools
