Job Summary The industrial equipment mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment within a food manufacturing facility. This role supports continuous operations by diagnosing mechanical issues, completing equipment repairs, assisting with equipment installations, and ensuring all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. Pay $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Shift 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., days TBD Duties Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, packaging equipment, and other industrial systems to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, including motors, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment failures, to restore proper operation. Install, adjust, replace, and repair mechanical components while following equipment specifications and safety procedures. Assist with equipment changeovers, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects to improve production efficiency and reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance records, follow food safety and sanitation standards, and ensure all work areas and equipment meet company quality requirements.
