A fast-growing manufacturing company is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technician to join the team. The Industrial Mechanical Technician is responsible for executing preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial equipment while minimizing unplanned downtime and supporting production continuity. 2nd shift 6pm-6am (Dupont schedule 3days on/2 days off)
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Maintenance Execute preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance work orders to avoid unexpected equipment downtime. Perform repairs on critical production equipment to ensure operational continuity. Maintain standby equipment in optimal operating condition. Identify mechanical failures and recommend equipment lockout (LOTO) when necessary to ensure safety. Propose mechanical spare parts required to maintain proper equipment operation. Safety & High-Risk Work Perform high-risk maintenance tasks (hot work, work at heights, confined spaces, hazardous energy) in strict compliance with safety procedures. Follow all safety rules, procedures, and regulations during daily maintenance activities. Identify hazards and assess risks prior to executing maintenance tasks. Systems & Reporting Record and close maintenance work orders in the SAP Maintenance Module. Report shift activities, breakdowns, and relevant findings to the Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator. Coordination Coordinate daily tasks with the Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator. Respond to mechanical breakdown requests from Production Operators. Support maintenance improvement initiatives as assigned.
Requirements:
Technical degree required in: Industrial Mechanical Maintenance, Mechanical Technology or a related mechanical field Equivalent hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience will be considered Proven experience performing mechanical maintenance on industrial machinery Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments preferred Experience handling rotating equipment, bearings, and mechanical components Industrial mechanical maintenance procedures Preventive and corrective maintenance practices Bearing maintenance and lubrication Mechanical troubleshooting Basic knowledge of safety procedures (LOTO, confined spaces, hot work) SAP Maintenance Module (preferred) Proactivity, teamwork, assertive communication, strong safety mindset, and ability to work under pressure and rotating shifts Experience in aluminum, metals, plastics, or glass manufacturing is highly preferred Bilingual required Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
