Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Day Shift Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment running safely and reliably in our manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support equipment upgrades. You'll work closely with operations and safety teams in a collaborative, safety-first culture focused on integrity, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, motors, and plant systems during day shift operations Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and support continuous production Inspect machinery, identify wear or damage, and complete timely repairs or part replacements following safety standards Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and work orders to plan and execute repairs Collaborate with production and safety teams to improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives Document maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status in maintenance logs or CMMSSupport installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems Follow lockout/tagout and all Heidelberg Materials safety policies, contributing to a safe, compliant work environment Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulics Pneumatics Welding and fabrication Industrial electrical basics Reading mechanical drawings Preventive maintenance (PM) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
