Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in the Greater Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience , preferably in a heavy manufacturing, industrial, equipment, or field-service environment. Oil & Gas industry experience is a strong plus, particularly experience working with compressors, engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, or other oilfield equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly/disassembly/overhaul, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of oil field industrial engines & equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs or adjustments. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and shop equipment safely and effectively. Inspect components and equipment for wear, damage, or defects. Assist with installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical equipment. Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. Work effectively with welders, fitters, fabricators, technicians, and other shop personnel. Perform other mechanical and shop-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience. Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, heavy equipment, construction, or similar environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to use common hand and power tools. Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and instructions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy industrial equipment. Preferred Qualifications Oil & Gas industry experience. Experience with natural gas compression equipment, large industrial. Experience working on engines, compressors, pumps, hydraulic systems, or rotating equipment. Experience in a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus. Forklift or other equipment certifications are a plus.
